My name is David London.

 

I am a magician by trade and by nature.

 

In other words, what I “do” is create magic. I believe, however, that creating a magical experience does not have to be limited to “tricks.” 

 

Though I have practiced sleight-of-hand for over fifteen years, my magic incorporates any necessary medium to produce the desired effect.

 

Magic keeps me in a constant state of creation, and I strive to bring people there with me.

I have created films, sculptures, puppets, paintings, essays, performance art, and yes, even magic shows.

 

What you will find on this website is the remnants of past creations, the documentation of current explorations, and the seeds of future endeavors.

 

Some might call this my “work,” but truthfully, it is much more like play.

As a magician, I have been hired to perform card-tricks at private events, present a full evening show in theaters, develop a storytelling adventure for children, teach workshops on performance, build puppets, lecture for other magicians, develop interactive performance pieces for festivals, curate art shows, explore creative thinking with organizations, construct installations at galleries, and facilitate the building of Wonder Bread sculptures.

 

I approach magic the only way I know how— without limits. I strive to bring the right kind of magic to any given moment and for any audience.
